homeSurvey is free on iOS and Android. Search “usurv” or “homeSurvey” in your app store and install. No account needed to start — just open and go.
Start a new survey
Tap “New Survey” and enter the property address. Run a Quick Scan (10 minutes, key areas) or a Full Survey (room by room, comprehensive). Pick based on how serious you are about the property.
Follow the guided walkthrough
The app takes you room by room — exterior, roof, walls, windows, each internal room, loft if accessible. For each area it tells you what to photograph and what to look for. No building knowledge required.
AI analyses your photos instantly
As you upload photos, the AI analyses them in real time. It identifies visible defects — damp staining, cracking, mould, condition of pointing, gutters, windows — and classifies each by severity. Results appear as you go.
Read your property health score
Once complete, homeSurvey produces a Property Health Score out of 1,000. Green means nothing significant found. Amber means look closer. Red means you need a professional before proceeding.
Use the report to negotiate or walk away
The in-app report lists every flagged defect with estimated repair cost ranges. Take it into your negotiation, use it to brief your solicitor, or share it with a professional surveyor to focus their visit.
