General
Who is homeSurvey for?
Anyone viewing a property — buyers, renters, or landlords. Built for people without a surveying background who want to know what they’re actually looking at during a viewing.
Is it a replacement for a professional survey?
No. homeSurvey can only assess what’s visible to a camera. Use it to decide whether a RICS survey is worth commissioning — and to go in knowing what to ask about.
Is homeSurvey available outside the UK?
The app works anywhere but the repair cost estimates are calibrated for the UK market. International users will find the defect identification useful but should treat costs as indicative.
What if I forget to upload a key photo?
The report is based on what you submit. You can upload additional images later using the Quick Scan option to supplement your existing survey.
Will it tell me what to do next?
Yes. Each defect includes a recommended next step — monitor it, get a specialist in, or factor it into your offer. Remediation plans are part of the full report.
Reports and features
What does the report show?
Each scan gives a Property Health Score out of 1,000, and highlights visible issues categorised by type (damp, cracks, mould, etc.) and severity.
Can I download or share the report?
In-app sharing is available now. A downloadable PDF report and share-to-tradesperson feature are coming soon.
Will it estimate repair costs?
Yes — ballpark estimates to help you budget or negotiate are included in the report, based on issue type and severity.

Where can I download the app?
homeSurvey is available free on the App Store and Google Play. Search “usurv” or “homeSurvey”.
Is it free?
Yes! The app is free to download and use. Core features are available without payment. Paid options for additional features may be introduced in future.
How do I use the app?
Choose Quick Scan (for a specific issue) or a guided Survey (full-property). Upload photos from your phone and get a report within seconds.
Technical and accuracy
How accurate is the analysis?
Our AI is fine-tuned on UK property defects and performs well on visible issues. It may miss hidden defects and should not be relied on as the sole basis for a purchase decision.
How fast are results?
Reports are typically ready in under 30 seconds after uploading your photos.
Is my data secure? Can I delete it?
Yes — all data is encrypted and stored on UK servers. You can delete individual scans or your entire account at any time from within the app.
